In 1981 Walter Lappert started selling ice cream at his original ice cream shop in Sausalito California. This was a couple of years before opening his first Lapperts store in Kauai. If you get a chance to visit us in Sausalito, come by the shop at 815 Bridgeway and see where it all started.
